These Virtual Cockpit photo "graphics" are each a result of many hours of extensive digital photo retouching and illustration. Individual images are masked, cloned, distorted, airbrushed and hand crafted into a 3D illustration of a cockpit. Each aircraft (make, model & size) that I build a custom Virtual Cockpit kit for, starts with a very accurate template showing the exact instrument panel, floor and rear turtle deck shape and size. I use this template and manipulate illustrated digital images into a photographic style carpet that fills the canopy. I output my final digital illustrations to a commercial grade, high quality color laser printer and then have the prints laminated. You simply cut them out with a careful hand and glue them inside your aircraft. The lamination helps prevent the prints from bubbling up in the heat of a summer day. Most of my single seat aircraft kits consist of three pieces: a instrument panel, a floor graphic and the rear fuse/turtle deck graphic. Two seat aircraft become a bit more complicated, but use the same basic elements x2. I have kits available for many aircraft with more being added all the time. I can do individual custom instrument panels and complete Virtual Cockpit kits for about any aircraft.

Each kit price is based upon the final size and complexity of the design. For a price comparison: A single PLASTIC instrument panel for a 35% to 42% aircraft will cost you $45 to $60 and it is only a SINGLE instrument panel! My complete Virtual Cockpit kits cost about the same, weigh less and are a COMPLETE photographic representation of the entire cockpit area. It sounds like a no-brainer to me, but I'm a little bias. However, I have learned that many others do agree with me. Perhaps you will too.

The following is a list of current Virtual Cockpit inventory and the price per kit.

Virtual Cockpits do not include a required pilot bust to complete the cockpit illusion. Virtual cockpits include male arms and legs graphics in a fully illustrated flat cockpit kit. You must add your own appropriately sized pilot bust with a red shirt.  Better to go slightly larger than scale, than smaller.  Example: A 25% aircraft will accommodate a 25% to 30% pilot bust. I would opt for the larger 30% size if your canopy will allow the shoulder width.

Can't Find Your Exact Aircraft? No Problem...
I can make a custom Virtual Cockpit kit to fit your exact needs. In order to create a custom kit for your specific aircraft, I will need a little help from you. This is only required for the first cockpit I create for each specific aircraft (model, make, size). This process ensures a perfect fit.

The process is pretty simple and is very easy if you have not installed your canopy. Simply cut paper templates for the instrument panel, floor and rear fuse turtle deck panel (see example on right). After you make these 3 templates test fit them inside your cockpit area. Two sets of templates are required if you have a two seat aircraft like a Extra 330L or a Yak 54. Usually this step requires making several templates for a perfect fit inside the cockpit area. My kit will not fit any better than your template. So make it exact. It is important that this is a precise template so your kit fits perfect. Then send me the templates via snail mail with a check. Send me a e-mail with any questions and to get the price for your specific Virtual Cockpit kit. I will give you a exact price and my shipping address.

All custom work requires advanced payment when the template is sent.. Custom kits usually take 1-2 weeks for creation, printing, laminating and delivery to you.

NOTE: Things get a bit more complicated if your aircraft does not have a floor or instrument panel structure to mount my prints. Several of my kits include 3D rear instrument panels for this type of application and others require more creative mounting solutions.
